yes , this is true. I will be freestyling with Jesse Whalen and meeting up with Mike Vallely at Edison Skatepark on Monday ,August 2nd for Central Jersey Skateshop. Hopefully i can get a shot at Mondays with Mike!

Mike V grew up in the Edison skate scene when he was a kid , and is great friends with Al.

Soo, 2nd August... how'd it go?

pretty well . we demoed 10 minutes before mike v did , the crowd (according to Al) were both confused and amazed . Sadly i broke my tail on a fingerflip airwalk during the demo , so i had to demo with one side of my board . Strangely skating one side of a freestyle board works out pretty well .
Mike V. didnt say anything though , i felt like he kind of mocked us a bit , doing random g turns on the ramps and a huge airwalk unless thats how he skates at demos , ive never seen him demo before . I think we were also being mocked because of the music the mike v guys were playing when we were skating, it was like old timers music, unless they didnt do it intentionally .

Besides all of the mishaps and mocking , with the crowd being stoked , Al being stoked , and just the energy of the whole event , it was great !

according to Al , freestyle is back , lets make it happen guys , we can do it , but first we need to help Erick as well , he has some great plans for the future , just show him some support...
